I dropped $15 on a Hulu add-on for a show I thought I'd love

It was for the Starz channel so I could finally watch 'Outlander' after hearing about it for years. Honestly, I got through maybe four episodes before I realized the whole time travel romance thing just wasn't for me (and the pacing felt so slow). Now I'm stuck with the charge for the rest of the month. Anyone have a better historical drama that actually moves along?

I tried Outlander too and felt the same way about the pacing. The Last Kingdom on Netflix is a much faster historical drama.

The Last Kingdom really moves, doesn't it? They pack a lot of story into each episode, covering years sometimes. It feels more like a series of battles and political moves, while Outlander lingers on the romance and scenery. Have you watched Vikings, and how does it compare for you?
