PSA: torque specs on carbon seatposts saved me from a $300 mistake at the Boulder shop
I was clamping a seatpost by feel like I did on steel frames for 15 years until a customer's carbon post cracked right at the collar in front of him. Now I keep a 5Nm wrench on the bench and check every single one, no matter how rushed the tune-up is. Anyone else got a job that made them finally respect the torque spec?
