A racer at the Boulder velodrome showed me his chain wear gauge trick and it saved me a cassette
He checks the chain on his track bike every 300 miles with a $10 gauge instead of waiting for it to skip, and his 11-speed cassette lasted him 4 seasons. Curious how often the rest of you pull out the gauge versus just eyeballing it at the stand.
