The bedtime warning about my phone's blue light I ignored for months

Last night I finally turned on my phone's night mode after seeing a post on here about how it messes with your sleep cycle. I've been scrolling through Reddit for over 2 hours every night for the past 3 months and wondering why I toss and turn until 2 AM. Do you guys notice a real difference with those blue light filter settings or is it all placebo?

Placebo or not, my phone is now a nice shade of orange.

Oh man, I actually read something about this! Heard some people say the orange tint is from heat damage to the screen bonding layer. Not just a placebo thing. If your phone got hot enough, that orange color might be permanent. Could be the LCD polarizer getting cooked. Might want to check if the touchscreen still works right in that spot.

Wait, hold on... so that orange spot might actually be the screen getting fried from heat? That's wild. I always figured those tints were just from sun glare or something dumb like that. Never thought the actual bonding layer could cook like that... sounds like a real nightmare if it messes with the touchscreen too.
