Dropped $60 on a blue light filter app that did nothing

I bought this app called NightShift Pro thinking it would help me sleep better if I used my phone before bed. Turns out my phone already has a built in blue light setting for free that does the same thing. I only realized it after 2 weeks of using the app and wondering why I still felt wide awake. Anyone else fall for a useless sleep app?

and then i realized my phone's built in filter was literally just a swipe away the whole time. i felt like such a clown spending $60 on something that was already there. honestly though i think the real reason i couldnt sleep was probably the endless doomscrolling, not the blue light. at least now i have a fancy app i never use to remind me of my own stupidity.

gotta disagree here, i actually got a lot out of the app i bought because it let me customize the color temp way more than the built in filter. the stock one on my phone barely changes anything, and it still strained my eyes at night. sometimes paying for something gives you the extra control you actually need.

Different strokes, but my phone's stock filter actually works fine for me when I adjust it right.
