My clippers died mid fade on a walk in at 4:45 on a Friday

Had a guy come in for a skin fade right before close and about halfway up the side my clippers just quit, no warning, nothing. I figured it was the cord so I swapped it and still dead, turned out the motor was shot after about 2.5 years of daily use. I finished him up with my backup set but they're older and the blade was grabbing, so it took way longer than it should have and I could feel him getting nervous in the chair. Ended up ordering a new pair that night from the supply house in Des Moines and I'm keeping a third set in the drawer now. How often are you all swapping out your main clippers before they actually die on you?
