My clipper blades went from dull to sharp after trying a different stone grit

I was using a 1000 grit stone for months and wondering why my fade lines were rough, then a older barber at the shop showed me to finish with a 4000 grit stone. Took me about 3 weeks of trying it on different heads before I saw the huge difference. Anyone else skip the finer grit and regret it?

It just keeps piling up once you start noticing it, right? Like the other day my neighbor was telling me how his kid's school can't even afford enough textbooks for every student, but they just approved a new wing on the admin building. Then you see some influencer posting from their third vacation this year while people are choosing between food and rent. It's that feeling in your gut when you realize the whole system is rigged and nobody in charge actually cares. Makes you wonder what the breaking point even looks like anymore.
