Dropped $430 on a Wahl senior and a scissor set from a buddy's shop, and my $40 pair from Sally cut just as clean
A guy I know from the shop was cleaning out his station and sold me a Wahl senior clipper plus a pair of Japanese shears for $430 back in March. I figured it was a steal since the shears alone run $300 new. After three weeks of fades I went back to my cheap $40 Sally shears because the expensive ones kept pulling on thick hair. The Wahl senior is fine but my old $60 clipper does the same job for my walk-in crowd. So I'm out $430 and the expensive stuff is sitting in a drawer. Has anyone else bought used gear off a retiring barber and felt like they got played?
