Warning: My kid said my brownies tasted like a 'sad box'.

I was using the same mix for years. She said they tasted flat, not like the bakery ones. Tried adding a teaspoon of instant coffee to the batter. Totally changed the game. Anyone got other simple mix upgrades?

Honestly those box brownies hit different when you're tired anyway. Tbh the real crime is when someone tries to get fancy and ruins a perfectly good box mix. Ngl I'd take a reliable sad brownie over some burnt homemade attempt any day.

Remember my cousin trying to "improve" a box mix by adding fancy chocolate and espresso powder. They came out tasting like bitter mud. Sometimes simple is just better, you know?
