The $90 silicone baking mat that slid off my counter mid-cake
Tbh I bought this fancy non-slip mat from a shop in Portland for 90 bucks thinking it would fix my cake decorating disasters. Instead, it did this weird curl thing when I lifted the piping bag, and the whole buttercream slab landed on my dog's back. He bolted through the kitchen and dragged frosting across three rooms before I caught him. Has anyone else had a mat just betray them like that, or do I need to go back to parchment and tape?
