Stuck through a double feature of 'The Room' and 'Birdemic' last night...

My buddy's projector bulb blew out 20 minutes into 'The Room' and we had to watch the rest on a 19 inch CRT he found in his garage. The audio was way off so everyone's voice sounded like they were underwater. I'm thinking we try a streaming setup next time but worried about lag killing the vibe. Anyone got a cheap backup screen solution for these nights?

Garage CRTs always have a 50/50 shot of buzzing like a broken fridge.

I get what you're saying @the_grace but I think garage finds can be way better than people give them credit for. I pulled a 1992 Sony Trinitron out of my neighbor's garage last year, no buzzing at all, just needed a dusting and it works perfect for retro gaming. The key is checking for obvious stuff like bulging caps or rust on the neck board before you plug it in. A quick visual inspection and a power-on test with a cheap game console usually tells you everything.
