Wait, your neighbor actually keeps FINCHES? Like in a cage or an aviary or something? Because I'm pretty sure wild finches don't need people tossing eggshells out for them, they do just fine on their own. Unless you mean the neighbor was feeding wild birds and thought you were wasting good shells that could go in a feeder. Either way, two whole years of throwing them away and nobody said anything sooner? That neighbor was holding out on you big time.
