My lake loop route got washed out after the spring melt
Last month I drove up to the Eagle Lake trailhead near Bishop and planned a 4 day loop through the high country. Day 2 the creek crossings were way higher than the guide said, and one bridge was completely gone. I had to backtrack 6 miles to a ranger station and they rerouted me over a pass that added 1,200 feet of elevation. Has anyone else had a route they scouted online turn out totally different on the ground?
