Getting trail beta from ranger stations seems like ancient history now.
I used to make a point to chat with rangers before any big trip for route advice. Tbh, their tips often led to the best hidden spots. Is that kind of local knowledge still a part of your planning?

Man, a friend swerved a nasty washed-out bridge last month because a ranger warned them the map was wrong. That local intel still hits different.
