Why does nobody talk about the static drain pin spec on the 737?

I was flipping through the maintenance manual last Tuesday and found out the static drain pins on the 737 have a max resistance limit of 2.5 ohms from the pin to the ground strap. I had no idea it was that tight, we've been chasing intermittent pitot static errors for weeks and it was a corroded pin reading 4.1 ohms all along. Ran the test with a cheap micro-ohmmeter, not even the fancy one, and it caught something the standard multimeter missed. Anyone else ever get burned by this spec or have a better way to test those pins without pulling the whole panel?
