My 500th pitot static check last Thursday at the Tulsa hangar, and the number caught me off guard
Honestly I never kept count of how many pitot static checks I've done until our new lead asked me to sign off on his training log last Thursday. He needed someone with verified volume and I went back through my old logbooks that night. Turns out I crossed 500 of them at the Tulsa hangar, and the weird part is I still get the same little knot in my gut every time I hook up the test set. It made me wonder if the guys who've done 2000 still feel that or if it just fades into autopilot. How many checks have you all logged, and do you still double check your leak rates by hand or trust the box?
