Changed my mind on those cheap wire strippers after 5 jobs in Philly
I used to laugh at the $12 automatic wire strippers from the parts house. Always thought they were gimmicky garbage, especially after my first one mangled a bundle of 16-gauge on a Cessna harness back in 2019. But last month I grabbed another pair on a whim during a rush job, and I'll admit, the newer spring-loaded ones actually handle shielded coax way better than my old dials. What got me was watching a guy on a Delta bench strip 40 wires in under a minute without nicking a single strand. Has anyone else had a tool they swore off for years that suddenly won you over?
