Update: got quoted $1,850 for a Tampa to Denver move, then found a guy who did it for $900
Honestly I almost signed with the first broker because I was in a rush to get my car out of Tampa before my lease ended. The second quote came in at $1,850 with a pickup window that kept sliding, and a smaller carrier out of Clearwater moved it door to door for $900 flat with no deposit upfront. Ngl the cheap quote made me nervous, but the car showed up in Denver in 4 days with only a little road dust on it. Has anyone else seen brokers mark up this much, and how do you tell a real carrier from a middleman before you pay?
