PSA: my comeback rate on brake jobs hit 4 out of 10 and I stopped blaming the parts
I used to swear by turning rotors on every brake job, but last month I tracked my comebacks over 60 jobs and 4 out of 10 came back with noise within 6 weeks. Pulled the mic out and found my lathe was cutting about .003 off spec on one side, so the pedal feel was never going to hold. Anyone else running older lathes measuring after the cut, or did you just switch to new rotors and move on?
