Hit my 1,000th brake job this Tuesday, never saw it coming
I was counting my work orders from the last 6 years, and 1,000 brake jobs landed on a 2015 Civic at Jensen's Auto in Tulsa. I remember my first one in 2018, a rusty F-150 that took me 3 hours and I stripped a caliper bolt. Now I can do most in under 45 minutes, and that number just hit me out of nowhere. Does anyone else track their jobs in a log book, or am I the only one who geeked out on the math?

Funny you mention the log book thing. I keep a whiteboard in my garage with every timing belt I've done since 2019, mostly to settle arguments with my buddy about which cars are nightmares. Last week I hit 212 and realized I've never written a single one down on paper, the whiteboard's just become a tally of my own stubbornness. The math geek in me respects your count though, that's a real milestone.
