Finding an exhaust leak without smoke these days
Back when I started in '96 we used to smoke out a leak with a rag stuffed in the tailpipe and a shop vac reversed, then chase the fog with a flashlight. Last week I pulled out the ultrasound detector I got from Matco, pinpointed a cracked manifold gasket on a F-150 in about four minutes flat. Anyone else still keep an old cigar in the box for the stubborn ones?
