Pulled a dent with a stud welder instead of drilling, and now I'm second guessing myself
Had a 2016 Civic in the shop on Monday with a nasty crease in the rear quarter, right above the wheel arch. I went with the stud welder and slide hammer instead of drilling and pulling with a screw, mostly because I didn't want to deal with filling holes on a panel that thin. It came out cleaner than I expected, but I did pop one stud just a hair too hot and left a tiny burn mark I had to sand back. Anyone else run into trouble with heat control on those little studs, or do you just switch to glue pulling for stuff like this?
