Used to haul my 8 inch dob out to a dark site in Mojave, now I shoot 30 second subs from my driveway in Phoenix
Back in 2016 I would pack the car and drive 90 minutes out past Twentynine Palms just to get away from the glow, and half the trip was fighting dew and wind. Then I got a little cooled CMOS cam and a light pollution filter, and last month I pulled 4 hours on Andromeda from my own backyard with planes blinking through the frames. Anyone else find they shoot way more now that setup takes ten minutes instead of a whole evening?

Driveway subs just mean more frames of skyglow garbage than actual photons.
