Tried making my own cleaning spray with vinegar and got a surprise

I mixed vinegar and baking soda in a spray bottle last weekend to clean my shower tiles after seeing a DIY TikTok. It foamed up crazy fast and shot the lid off, hitting my ceiling fan in my bathroom in Austin. Guess the science behind acids and bases is real. Has anyone else had a homemade cleaner go sideways like that?

Tbh, my friend used that combo on her oven and ended up with a sticky mess.
