Rant: a jammed dishwasher filter ate up 3 Saturdays and I still don't get it
Back in March our dishwasher quit draining and I figured it was a 20 minute job, maybe swap the filter and move on. Three Saturdays later, two trips to the hardware place on Foster, and about $65 in parts I didn't need, it turned out a piece of a toddler sippy cup lid was wedged somewhere I never thought to look. The manuals online all say clear the filter and check the drain hose, which I did, twice, and neither one was it. My neighbor Dale kept saying just buy a new one but I got stubborn and started taking the pump apart on the kitchen floor with a towel under me. In the end it was one tiny plastic bit jammed behind the impeller that I only spotted because I dropped a flashlight. How long did your last "quick fix" around the house actually take, because I need to hear someone else lost a whole month to this stuff too.
