I wanted to show her how real digs sort finds, but the "field guide" was a folded piece of paper with 4 blurry drawings. So my question is for the people who actually do public outreach: do you buy replica kits for teaching, or just print your own photos and label real rocks? Because I'm out $80 and I still can't tell her what a trowel scar looks like.
