Tried a new climbing rope and the difference is night and day

I've been using the same 16-strand Yale Blue Moon for years, but last month I switched to a 24-strand Sterling HTP for a big oak removal in Charlotte. The lower stretch and smoother handling made a huge difference on long limb walks, especially when setting the rigging lines. Anyone else made a switch recently that really paid off?

My old rope felt like a bungee cord after trying a new one...

Sounds like your old rope was holding you back.

Yeah, the "lower stretch" you mentioned is a total game changer for precision work. Heard a few guys at the last comp saying the same thing about newer 24-strand ropes.
