Noticed the big shift in stump growth after switching grinding angles

I cleared the same maple stump patch twice, once with a flat approach and again at a 15 degree tilt, and the regrowth dropped by maybe 70% over 3 months. For anyone doing residential removals in tight yards, have you messed with angle of attack on the grinder to stop suckers, or is it just luck of the species?

Damn, that angle trick sounds promising... maybe worth trying on stubborn ash trees next.
