A client told me my climb line looked "too clean" and it stuck with me all week
I was doing a removal on a big silver maple in Aurora last Tuesday and the homeowner watched me set my line from the porch. She said her last arborist's rope was all frayed and dark, and mine looked like I never used it. I just said thanks and kept working but it bugged me the rest of the day. Then it hit me that she probably trusts the guy with the beat up rope more, like worn gear means experience or something. How do you all handle it when a client reads clean gear as inexperience?
