Took me 5 rewatches to notice the background character arc

I kept seeing this one background student in My Hero Academia season 3, just standing in class 1-A shots. Thought it was a random fill-in. Then on the fifth rewatch, I realized it was a character who later gets a whole scene in season 5. I spent like 3 hours checking episode lists to confirm. Has anyone else had a background detail take forever to click for them?
