Swapped my fountain pen for a $3 ballpoint and my journaling doubled
I used to obsess over getting the perfect ink flow and nib angle for my morning pages, but last month my pen clogged during a rainstorm on the porch and I grabbed a cheap Bic from my glovebox. The no-fuss writing let me just dump thoughts without stopping to clean or adjust anything, and now I crank out 2 pages in 15 minutes instead of 45. Anyone else find that ditching the fancy gear actually made the habit stick better?

Man, that hits close to home. My buddy Rick spent like 200 bucks on a fancy pen set and carried it everywhere, but he barely wrote anything. Then his kid borrowed it and lost the cap, and he got so annoyed he just started using a random pen from the junk drawer. Now he sends me these long rambling texts about his day just because he can scribble anywhere without stressing over the cap or the ink. Sometimes the cheap stuff just gets out of the way.
