I was talking to a fire marshal after a job on Southern Ave in Mesa last week and he mentioned that panels mounted in a garage more than 6 feet off the ground fail inspection here. I have been putting them at 6 foot 6 for at least 4 years because it was easier to read the keypad standing up. He said he had red-tagged 3 houses on my street alone in the past 2 months. Now I am worried about every garage job I did in that city since I moved here. Anyone else run into a local height rule that nobody told you about?
