PSA: a guy at the supply house in Toledo told me 43% of false alarms come from one dumb mistake
I was picking up a box of 22 gauge contacts at the counter in Toledo and the old guy working there said they tracked callbacks for a year and found that 43% of false alarms came from motion sensors pointed at the HVAC vents. I had no clue it was that high, I always thought pets were the bigger problem but he said vents and heat registers beat pets by a mile. How do you all handle placement when the room only has one good corner and the vent is right there?
