Did a full panel swap on a house off Glenwood in Boise 3 weeks back and everything tested clean, zones, communicator, battery, all of it. Got a call 2 days later saying the upstairs keypad was dead and the homeowner is convinced I killed it even though that thing was already 15 years old and the backlight had been flickering when I got there. Do you eat the cost of a new keypad just to keep the peace, or do you stand your ground and explain that old gear dies on its own schedule?
