Spent 6 hours chasing a fuel leak that was just a loose O-ring on the drain valve
Went through three test runs and half a can of leak finder before realizing the drip only showed up when the pump was at idle pressure, so has anyone else burned a whole shift on a fix that turned out to be a five-minute swap?

Man, I feel you on that one. I had a similar deal with a coolant seep that only showed up after the engine got hot, turned out to be a cracked plastic fitting I'd checked twice. Now I always do a hot idle test plus a cold soak before I call anything fixed, saves me from burning another whole afternoon.
