PSA: the FBO bathroom at Ada Regional has a 1950s hand dryer that sounds exactly like a PT6 start
I walked in there Tuesday to wash grease off my hands and did a full head snap when that thing spun up, and now I'm wondering how many other small town FBOs are hiding a hand dryer that could fool a line guy on the ramp.
How many of those old dryers are still out there running on borrowed time in little FBO lounges nobody's touched since the 90s? I'd bet half the county airports in the midwest have one, and the pitch is close enough that you'd glance at the ramp out of pure reflex before your brain catches up. Somebody needs to start a list, because this is the kind of thing that gets funnier every time it happens.
