I finally found a reliable way to label my torque wrenches after years of guessing
Kept mixing up my 3/8 and 1/2 inch torque wrenches in the shop, especially on dark hangar mornings. Tried paint dots, tape, even zip ties, none stuck past a week. Then I used a rotary engraver to etch the drive size right into the metal near the handle. Cost me like 20 bucks for the bit and it takes 10 minutes per tool. No more grabbing the wrong one on a tight bolt, which saved me from a near miss on a brake caliper last Thursday. Anyone else got a low tech fix for shop tool mix ups that actually holds up?
