I finally had a talk with my nephew that changed how I see AI assistants
He's 14 and told me he asks his AI for relationship advice instead of his friends because 'it doesn't judge.' That conversation made me realize we might be replacing real human connection without even noticing it.

Honestly, I think everyone's kind of overreacting here. Kids have always found ways to talk to someone or something without judgment - it's like how we used to write in diaries or talk to pets, you know? That's just how it works at that age when everything feels awkward. Maybe this is just a phase, not some big sign that we're losing touch with each other. Plus, having an AI give basic advice doesn't mean they won't still talk to real people when it actually matters. It's more like a practice run, I figure, before they work up the nerve to talk to a friend or family member about the real stuff.

My younger cousin started asking Siri if she looked okay before dates. Kinda wild when you think about it, kids trust machines more than people now.
