My 3am bath ritual got ruined by a stupid water heater setting

I was soaking after a brutal 12 hour shift and the water went ice cold in 4 minutes, figured out my heater was set to 'vacation mode' the whole 6 months I lived here, has anyone else found a hidden house setting that wrecked their whole unwind?
