A guy at the dog park watched me towel off my lab and asked why I was drying him like a car
Last Tuesday at the park on Foster, this older guy watched me scrub my lab Bruno down with a beach towel for a solid 10 minutes and finally asked why I was going at him like I was waxing a car. He said dogs shake off 70% of the water in 3 seconds and I was just pushing it back into his undercoat and making it worse. So I stopped toweling him dry and started just letting him shake twice, then doing one slow pass with a microfiber cloth. He dries in half the time now and my back doesn't hurt from all that scrubbing. Anyone else have a random stranger hand them a better way to do something you've done the same way forever?

Next level move is teaching the dog to shake on command so you time it right.
