Watched a 1994 infomercial at 2 AM and tried the banana peel thing on my boots
It was around 2:30 AM last Tuesday when I fell down a rabbit hole of old home shopping channels and landed on some guy swearing banana peels could shine leather. I had a pair of beat up work boots by the door, so I figured why not, grabbed a peel from the trash, and rubbed the inside on the scuffed toes for maybe two minutes. It actually worked. Not perfect, but way better than the $8 polish I bought at the hardware store in Fairview last month. Has anyone else tried this, and does it hold up or does it just look good until you walk through a puddle?
