Rant: my 3am brain bought a $9 rubber duck that reads tarot cards
Last Tuesday around 2:40am I was scrolling on my phone when a little ad popped up for a rubber duck that supposedly gives you a tarot card reading when you squeeze it, and I bought it before I could think twice. It showed up in the mail on Saturday and it just quacks and spits out a card that says stuff like 'trust the process' but my 6 year old thinks it is the best toy we own. Does anyone else have a dumb late night buy they secretly do not regret, or am I the only one whose sleep brain has a credit card?
sleep brain has a credit card" is a funny way to put it, but let's be real here, a $9 duck is not exactly a crisis. The part that gets me is the tarot gimmick, since those cards are probably random and the "reading" is just a canned line on a piece of paper. Your kid loves it, you got a story out of it, and you're out less than a fast food combo. The bigger question is whether 3am you keeps finding the checkout button, because that habit is the thing worth watching, not this one duck.
