Vent: New water heater died 2 days after install

Put in a tankless unit last Friday and the control board fried on Sunday, now I'm waiting on a replacement part with no hot water. Has anyone else had bad luck with these newer electronic units in ABQ or should I just go back to a regular tank model?

Fried on Sunday" sounds like a power surge thing honestly. ABQ gets those random brownouts and micro spikes that'll kill sensitive boards before the breaker even blinks. Worth checking your panel with a cheap meter before you swap parts, otherwise you'll be doing this again in two weeks no matter what you install.
