The $8 permit thing I learned at the Bernalillo County office last Tuesday
Went down to the county building to pull a permit for a small bathroom redo on my place near Eubank. The clerk told me a homeowner can do their own work on a house they live in, no contractor license needed, as long as it passes inspection. I had no idea that was allowed here. That saved me close to $2,000 in labor on a job this small. Did any of you pull your own permits, or is it more hassle than it's worth?
