Shoutout to the contractor in Albuquerque who showed me why not to tile over old thinset
I was at a kitchen reno on Menaul last week and the tile guy told me he never goes over old thinset without grinding it flat first. He said he has seen 4 jobs in the last year where tiles popped up within a month because the floor was not level. I had been thinking of skipping that step in my own bathroom to save a weekend. What do you all do for a fast way to knock down high spots on a small floor?
