Can we talk about how my bathroom fan died mid shower and soaked my whole ceiling?
So 2 weeks ago I'm in the shower and water starts dripping from the exhaust fan onto my head, which is never a good sign. I pulled the cover off and the fan blade was caked with 6 years of dust so it quit spinning and the humid air just sat up there. I grabbed a $22 replacement fan from the Lowe's on Eubank and swapped it in about 40 minutes, cutting the power first obviously. Now I'm looking at the ceiling paint peeling in a 3 foot circle and wondering if I should just repaint or check for mold first. Anyone dealt with this and did you bother calling someone to test for mold or just dry it out and move on?
