Foam density labels can be so misleading on big orders.
I recently took on a large sofa project and ordered foam based on the supplier's labels. When it arrived, the cushions felt much softer than advertised. This set me back a whole day while I waited for replacements. Now I always test a sample piece before committing to a full order. It's a simple step that saves so much trouble.

Tell me about it... my last order felt like pudding, so now I always get samples first.

How do you test the foam samples to check if they're right, or is it just a feel thing? Like @nancyhernandez said, labels are pretty much useless now. It's annoying when suppliers don't follow their own numbers. Have you ever gotten a good sample but then the full order was off? What do you do then, just send it all back?

Yeah it's like how food packages say "family size" but are barely enough for two people. I've learned not to trust labels at face value for lots of stuff now. You really gotta check for yourself or you end up with weak foam or an empty chip bag.
