Genocide symbolism in baking powder cans? That's a stretch even for Kubrick. His films are layered, but that interpretation feels forced.

Feel your pain about falling down those rabbit holes. Got stuck for weeks once cross-referencing background symbols in The Shining, convinced the hallway carpet pattern was a map of the Overlook's ventilation system. It's exhausting when you realize how much deliberate detail gets baked into the frame.

oh man, the conspiracy stuff people dug out of Eyes Wide Shut is wild. there's a whole theory that kubrick hid clues about the elite in plain sight, like the pattern on the carpets and the bookstore clerk being a watcher. also, the shining has that whole thing about the calumet baking powder cans representing native american genocide. it's nuts what gets buried in frame.
