I finally switched to deep watering schedules for new sod installations

The roots established faster and we had far fewer callbacks for brown patches last summer. What methods do you use to promote root growth in turf?

Always figured light watering was enough, but deep schedules on new sod proved me wrong.

Deep, infrequent waterings beat light daily sprinkles.
