Witnessing the fan project at the concert reshaped my opinion on fandom culture.
The collective effort and passion were truly moving.

Tbh, seeing everyone cry together changed my mind completely.

Reflect on how these fan projects often serve as a temporary sanctuary from our increasingly fragmented digital lives. They create a tangible, shared experience that online interactions can't replicate, however heartfelt. What strikes me is the voluntary submission to a collective vision, a rare moment where individualism is willingly set aside. That sacrifice for a fleeting, beautiful gesture might be the purest form of fandom we have left. It's a quiet rebellion against the passive consumption most entertainment encourages.

Consider the 2022 Avengers fan art collaboration that trended for weeks. While @william791 praises the collective submission, I've noticed how these projects often fragment further into niche subgroups arguing over canon (seriously, the debates over Iron Man's arc reactor were brutal). That voluntary sacrifice feels less like pure fandom and more like performance for social capital, especially when the most vocal participants end up leveraging their involvement for personal followings. It's not rebellion, just a new form of curated consumption.

Honestly, we're just building beautiful sandcastles before the tide of new content washes them away.
